PAST RESULTS – BMO Vancouver Marathon

BMO Vancouver Marathon, Half Marathon and 8KM results are shown below by year from 2006. For results prior to 2006, please check the official Vancouver International Marathon Society website The Vancouver International Marathon dates back to 1972 when 32 runners completed five loops of Stanley Park. The event is now organized annually by the local non-profit Vancouver International Marathon Society RUNVAN®. Those who complete any combination of Vancouver Marathon events 15, 20 or 25 times are also recognized and honoured by the Society. To learn more, please visit



Age Category Awards: First place male and female age category winners will receive free entry into the following year’s race, while the second and third-placed winners will also be recognized by gender. Chip time, not gun time, will determine age group awards. Runners are automatically entered into the following age groups: under 19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; 85-89; 90-94; 95-99; 100 and above.

Camosun Hill Challenge: Along the Marathon course, timing mats will be placed at the top and bottom of Camosun Hill. Climb 1,230 metres with an elevation gain of 54 metres – from the base of Camosun to W 29. Prizes will go to the male and female Marathon runners who conquer this climb the fastest, excluding Elites.

Team Challenges: All registered teams will automatically be entered to win prizes! Train and run with your running club, co-workers, family and friends. Awards will go to the fastest Marathon team as well as the largest team. Team times will be based on the gun time of the five fastest team members, with at least two of your top times coming from the opposite sex. Learn more at
